Historical Ordination

Well I am sitting in my comfortable chair at home after driving all day from Wisconsin. We have been on vacation all week enjoying some time visiting Brandon. This time was extra special as he was ordained as a Wesleyan Pastor on Thursday night. What I didn't realize was the significance of this ordination. Brandon was to be ordained by Dr. Joanne Lyons. Dr. Lyons is the first woman General Superintendant in the Wesleyan denomination. Brandon was the first pastor to be ordained by a woman.

Of course we were proud of him even before all this, but that was kinda cool stuff too. All the grandparents made the trip out to see him get ordained. As I was moving about the church taking photos (being a distraction i'm sure) I noticed my mom with tears in her eyes.

It was good to get away and do a little fishing and relaxing. Well back to work on Monday yipee!
