Thanks Mike!

A few weeks ago my son Mike wrote in his blog that he was reading a book called "The Shack" He begged his readers to stop reading his blog and get out and buy this book. Well I immediately shut down my computer and ran out and got the book. Okay not really....but I did pick up the book on Friday afternoon. The store clerk said he couldn't keep the book on the shelf and I happened to get the last copy in the store. He also was going to be reading it this weekend.
I started reading the book last night but fell asleep. I was really getting into the story but nature took over. I awoke this morning about 5:00am and decided to read some more in the book. I made a pot of coffee and started to read. I couldn't put the book down. I finally finished the book at 1:30pm.
I was not prepared for the intense emotional roller coaster this book takes you on. Some parts I chuckled at and some parts I literally wept over. I have never been moved by a book like this before. I highly recommend that you stop reading this blog and run out and get this book. I will not even try to tell you about the story. This is something you have to experience for yourself.

"This book has the potential to do for our generation what John Bunyan's Pilgrims Progress did for his. It's that good" Eugene Peterson

I read in the back of the book that they hope to make a film of it. I hope they do.
I am getting ready to read Visioneering by Andy Stanley and I'm not sure I'm even looking forward to it after reading this book.

So thanks for the book recommendation MIKE!

Who wrote that book, A book that is compared to John Bunyans Pilgrims progress that is a lot to live up to. Oh and Visioneering is churchy dribble. Read the headings and the book of Nehemiah and you are good!

Funny you should mention Nehemiah. That is the book I've been reading.
